HanDBase Desktop for Macintosh (HDM) is distributed under the shareware system. You may install it and try it out for free, but until you purchase a registration key only the first 10 records of any database will be processed. The registration key will permanently enable all features, and will turn off all shareware reminders.
To purchase a registration key for HanDBase Desktop for Macintosh, use the Register program that comes with HanDBase Desktop for Macintosh. Using Register allows you to pay by check, credit card, or cash of many nations.
1. Open the Register application by double-clicking its icon, or by clicking the Register button below. You'll see a window titled “Register.”
  Click here to open the Register window.
2. Fill in your name and addresses in the boxes at the top of the window.
3. Find HanDBase Desktop for Macintosh in the scrolling list of products.
4. How many copies? Fill in the number of copies you want in the HanDBase Desktop for Macintosh “Single User” box. (Usually you’ll want just one copy, so enter 1.)
5. Choose your method of payment from the pop-up menu labeled “Method.”
6. Send in your payment. Payment should be sent to our distributor Kagi Shareware by following the directions shown in the “Payment Details” box. Please read the directions carefully, and note that the printed (or copied) form will contain the address (postal, email, or fax as appropriate) to send your payment to. If you pay by check please be sure you make out the check correctly. Also be sure you include your correct, current email or postal address because we can’t send you your registration key without a valid address.
We will keep your name and addresses confidential, and you will not receive unwanted email (“spam”) or postal mail as a result of your purchase.
After You’ve Paid
After your payment has been received and processed, you will receive an email or postcard from Kagi that will tell you your registration key. When you have your registration key, select Register from HDM’s File menu, and click the Enter Key button. Type in your name and registration key, then click OK. HDM will quickly verify your key, and will immediately enable all features if your key is accepted. (If it’s not accepted, double-check that you have entered the key correctly - the best way is to copy it from the email it came in, and paste it instead of typing it by hand. If you are sure you’ve entered it correctly and it still doesn’t work, please contact Semicolon Software at <rick@kagi.com>.)
Please be aware that the version of HanDBase Desktop for Macintosh that you downloaded is complete and fully functional (except for the 10-entry limit, if you have not purchased and entered a registration key). There are no disks, CDs, or printed manuals: when you purchase, you will receive a registration key and nothing else. The latest version of this program is available for downloading from our Web site at <http://www.semicolon.com/>. If you feel that your copy is not complete, or if you do not have the latest version, feel free to visit our Web site and download a new copy.
